WHO MAY APPLY
Vanguard Christian Education is a school for students who are living with parents or guardians and are seeking an education of both mind and spirit. Applicants should have a personal and school history free from major violations or criminal behavior. By applying, parents are acknowledging and testifying that the student’s prior behavior has been in conformity with these guidelines.
Vanguard is not a school for troubled youth, and no student should apply for the sole purpose of avoiding challenges at another school system or for unresolved personal problems. Because Vanguard is built around Christian character and practical Christian principles, students who hold values contrary to what is taught at Vanguard may be directed to another school for their benefit and for the good of the school.
Homeschool families may apply for individual classes and may complete standardized testing through Vanguard.

Vanguard Christian Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, or sex in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic programs, or other school-administered programs.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE
Because the whole student is educated at Vanguard, enrolled students are choosing to be trained in mind and in spirit, including training in practical Christian principles. Students and parents must be willing to obey school rules and cooperate with school officials. Our goal is to maintain an atmosphere of honest and forthright communication with parents, including direct conversation with staff when issues need to be addressed.
Parents and high school students are responsible to read the handbook before signing the Statement of Cooperation.
The dictionary defines a vanguard as the leader at the forefront of an army. Our mission is to build character and confidence in each student, giving them tools for success in academics and life. Only those wishing to be a Vanguard should apply. Students are expected to show a commitment to Christ and Biblical principles and to express a sincere desire to be a Vanguard after reading and discussing the handbook with their parents.
Since application to Vanguard is a choice, cooperation with authority is expected, and growth in grace should occur during a student’s time at Vanguard. To remain at Vanguard, students are expected to exhibit Christian character within the community as well as on campus.
When a student has completed the application process and agrees to the school’s expectations, Vanguard will notify the parents/guardians of the decision to accept or deny admission. If accepted, records may be requested from the previous school.
FINANCIAL AID
As of the 2026-2027 school year Vanguard Christian Education is now accepting TEFA School Vouchers. For more information please contact the office directly via phone.
Vanguard offers private full and partial scholarships given by generous donors, booster club members, church and community supporters.

Any help or donation toward the children in our program is greatly appreciated and needed.
Our Booster Club strives to strengthen Vanguard by offering financial support through fundraising, coordinating and providing volunteer assistance in a variety of areas, and promoting positive and enriching events on our campus and throughout the community. It is our sincere desire to act as a support system for the teachers, students, and families of Vanguard. We pray that because our works are done with a spirit of love and generosity, God will be glorified in all that we accomplish.
